Baker County Council on Aging - Home Delivered Meals / Congregate Hot Lunches

This agency partners with the Meals on Wheels program. They provide daily hot meals to elders who are home bound or unable to cook for themselves. This program relies heavily on volunteers to deliver these meals. Often the volunteer is the only visitor the home bound elder sees for weeks at a time.

The Congregate Meals Nutrition Program serves daily meals to active seniors at a meal site. It is for elders who are interested and able to participate in activities outside the home. It includes nutrition education and is usually based at local centers. They depend on volunteers to help with services and program activities.
