Service Type

This volunteer agency gives emotional support to victims of crime, accidents and other traumatic events. Volunteers are available 24/7. All services are free of charge. There is a special group of teen volunteers for youth 16-21. Victims in need always have a "shoulder to lean on".

TIP volunteers ensure that those who are traumatized in an emergency receive the help they need. Well-trained volunteers are called to emergency scenes to help family members, witnesses, and other bystanders. TIP volunteers are always available. TIP aims to give immediate support from a caring person. Services are provided to victims free of charge.

What TIP Volunteers Do:

  • Help arrange for shelter, food, clothing, and transportation
  • Help arrange follow-up services
  • Notify family and friends
  • Provide emotional support
  • Provide referrals to agencies for ongoing assistance
  • Serve as liaison between the victims and emergency and hospital authorities
