Access Florida - Food Stamps, Temporary Cash Assistance, and Medicaid

The Food Stamp Program helps people with low income to buy healthy food. The application can be done online. Please see the website for your local service center. The application is also used for Temporary Cash Assistance, Medicaid, and all other Dept of Children and Families services.

You can view the application in English, Haitian-Creole, or Spanish.

Ayers Health & Rehabilitation Center - Healthcare Services

This Center provides therapy services to residents in four counties. They can get long or short-term rehab care. They can get inpatient or outpatient services. They can also get skilled nursing care. Many short term patients continue their therapy on an outpatient basis. Licensed therapists work with you to improve your level of function.

Department fof Veterans Affairs - Healthcare for Homeless Veterans

The goal of the VA is to end veteran homelessness by 2015. They provide a broad range of services to help veterans who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. The staff work with veterans to link them with local resources and programs. They have many health care programs for homeless Vets. Dixie County Health Department - Healthy Start

This program is for pregnant women, infants and children up to age 3. It provides services that help participants have a healthy baby and be the best parents they can be. The goal is that every baby be born healthy. Please see the website for more information.
