Florida Department of Education - McKay Scholarship for Students with Disabilities

The McKay Scholarships for Students with Disabilities gives students with special needs the chance to attend a private school. The program is for students in grades K-12. Please see the website for more information.

Florida KidCare

The state of Florida offers health insurance for children from birth through age 18, even if one or both parents are working. It includes four different parts.

  • Prescriptions

Project Prevention - Hillsborough

This is a free after school program for youth between 10 and 18. Kids learn about making good choices, HIV and drug prevention and more. After 6 months, they can get a $70 gift card. There are daily raffles that include free movie or game rentals, free desserts or meals and more. They will be able to work on an oral history project and write stories about role models.
