The Food Stamp Program helps people with low income to buy healthy food. The application can be done online. Please see the website for your local service center. The application is also used for Temporary Cash Assistance, Medicaid, and all other Dept of Children and Families services.

America's Second Harvest of the Big Bend

The aim of this agency is to educate and engage the community in the fight against hunger. They partner with local food banks and pantries and other agencies who then distribute the food to those in need. They get their food from grocery chains, growers, USDA and other sources.
