Center for Independent Living of North Central Florida - Employment Services

This agency helps people with disabilities with a broad range of services. The goal is to enable them to live as independently as possible. Sign language interpreting services are available. Some Medicaid recipients may be eligible to transfer from a nursing home to their own home.

DCF - Adult Protective Services

This agency offers help to adults who may be at risk of being harmed or neglected. DCF also helps when the adult is unable to take care of himself properly. Clients may be elderly or have a disability. If you suspect a vulnerable adult is being abused, neglected or exploited, you MUST report it. Please see the website for more information.

DCF - Child Welfare Services

DCF is committed to the well being of children and their families. DCF works with local communities, resources and the courts to make sure that each child is safe and has a home. Their aim is to keep families together and as self sufficient as possible. When a parent has mental or substance abuse issues, DCF can help them overcome their problems. DCF - Human Trafficking Program

DCF offers services for victims of human trafficking. Child victims can get help from child welfare workers instead of being placed in a juvenile delinquency facility. They will instead get intensive treatment in a safe residential setting. Please see the website for more information.

Department Of Corrections - Lake City Circuit Office - Re-Entry Program

Inmates in Florida have the chance to participate in a number of re-entry programs that will benefit them upon release. The goal is to reduce the number of repeat offenders. Seminars give them information about jobs, social services, housing and more. Please call for more information.
