ACT Abuse Counseling & Treatment - Emergency Protective Shelter

Services offered to victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, and new and temporarily homeless. Children of these victims are also welcome. Services include:

  • 24-Hour service
  • Assistance with resumes
  • Child assessments
  • Clothing
  • Food
  • Goal setting
  • Individual counseling
  • Information and safety planning
  • Job skills
  • Parenting skills
  • Personal care items
  • Specialized children's program
  • Tutoring for children
  • Weekly groups

After the Rain of Southwest Florida, Inc. - Halfway Housing

After the Rain of Southwest Florida, Inc. is a halfway house that helps women. They may be in recovery from addiction, homelessness, and domestic violence.

They offer three types of housing:

  • Emergency shelter, good for up to 90 days and consistent with HUD/Lee County Homeless Coalition tracking
  • Transitional housing which frequently runs into six months
  • Supportive housing, usually under a separate roof. This house will accommodate women who have participated in our program for a year or more and who are ready for a little less structure, yet still need the support offered by After the Rain
