Access Florida provides a plan that offers:

Access Florida - Food Stamps, Temporary Cash Assistance, and Medicaid

The Food Stamp Program helps people with low income to buy healthy food. The application can be done online. Please see the website for your local service center. The application is also used for Temporary Cash Assistance, Medicaid, and all other Dept of Children and Families services.

You can view the application in English, Haitian-Creole, or Spanish.

Big Bend Cares - Medical Assistance Program (MAP)

Big Bend Cares provides a Medical Assistance Program (MAP). For those living with HIV/AIDS. Services vary depending on the availability of funds. All services requiring help with payment is done through a case manager. It requires a purchase order at least 24 hours prior to the service. Some services include:

  • Counseling
  • Dental
  • Food Bank
  • Home Health Care
  • Lab/X-Ray
  • Medical
  • Nutritional Services
  • Prescriptions
  • Substance Abuse Counseling
  • Transportation

Big Bend Cares - Project AIDS Care (PAC)

Big Bend Cares provides Project AIDS Care (PAC). It is a Medicaid Waiver Program. It provides home- and community-based based services to eligible persons with AIDS as determined by the Office of Disability. Some services include:

  • Education & Support
  • Home Delivered Meals
  • Home Nursing (RN, LPN)
  • Medical Equipment (wheelchair)
  • Personal Care (bathing)
