Access Florida - Food Stamps, Temporary Cash Assistance, and Medicaid

The Food Stamp Program helps people with low income to buy healthy food. The application can be done online. Please see the website for your local service center. The application is also used for Temporary Cash Assistance, Medicaid, and all other Dept of Children and Families services.

You can view the application in English, Haitian-Creole, or Spanish.

Keys Area Interdenominational Resources - Food

KAIR is a USDA certified food pantry. They offer “Meals to Go” – pre-made meals for the homeless. They also offer bags of groceries to those who have cooking facilities. The pantry is open five days a week during office hours or by appointment. Call for more information.

Keys Area Interdenominational Resources - Homeless Services

KAIR provides Homeless Services. They do this through Independence Cay. Every day of the week, they welcome the homeless for a hot lunch, showers, and laundry. It is also open to all during inclement or cold weather. There are daily AA meetings as well as other classes that promote well-being and self-sufficiency. Transitional housing may also be available for men. Call for more information.

Monroe County Health Department - WIC

Monroe County Health Department provides the WIC program. WIC is a federally funded nutrition program. For Women (must be pregnant, breastfeeding or less than 6 months postpartum), Infants and Children up to 5 years of age. Contact for more information.
