Downtown Ecumenical Services Council

DESC provides emergency services to those in need. DESC provides new and gently used clothing to meet clients’ needs. DESC provides limited emergency financial aid. Items most often classified as emergency needs are rent, mortgage and utility payments. DESC provides groceries for a three- to five-day food emergency. Grocery items include canned goods, milk, bread, cereal and more. Pleases call for more information.

Jewish Family & Community Service helps with social and community services. Services are open to all who come for help. JFCS helps people get back on their feet by helping with food, past-due rent, and utilities. They also offer counseling, adoption services and older adult services. Sulzbacher Center

This agency is Northeast Florida’s largest provider of emergency shelter for homeless men, women and children. The shelter is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Trinity Rescue Mission

Trinity Rescue Mission provides many services to those in need. There is an overnight shelter for homeless men. They can get meals, showers and fresh clothing. There are also programs for those with substance abuse issues. The Women and Children's Center provides safe shelter while women rebuild their lives.
