Access Lynx

This is paratransit service for persons unable to use the regular bus system due to disability.

ACCESS Lynx has door-to-door, shared ride transportation services for eligible persons who cannot use the regular bus service (also called "fixed route") because of a disability. This service covers Orange, Osceola and Seminole counties.

ACCESS Lynx serves over 2,100 scheduled passengers a day. Some people find the fixed route bus service the best way to go. If so, they can get a reduced-fare Lynx ID. Please see the website for more details.

Reservations can be made between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., seven days a week. To check on your trip or to cancel a trip, Customer Service and Transportation Services are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. If possible, the best time to make trip requests or travel is between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.

AdvantAge Reduced Bus Fare Program for Seniors/Disabled- Lynx

Riders age 65 and older or with disabilities are eligible for discount fares. Anyone using a discount fare must present a valid LYNX ID when boarding the bus or pay full fare. Valid LYNX IDs are available at the Lost and Found window in LYNX Central Station Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

National Kidney Foundation of Florida, Inc.- Transportation Grant Program

This agency helps dialysis patients with transportation costs not covered by other resources. Patients may use grants to travel to and from dialysis treatment, or for transplant work-ups. This is a funding of "last resort." Social workers must complete the NKF Application for Financial Assistance for the patient. Please see the website for more details.

National Runaway Safeline - Home Free Program

This agency works with Greyhound Lines to provide free bus tickets home to runaway youth. It is for those who are ages 12 through 20.

If you are under 18, you will be asked if there is a runaway report filed in your hometown. If you are not sure, NRS will advise.

A trained phone counselor will set up a conference call between you and your parents. A plan of action will then be determined. Then, Greyhound will be contacted and travel arrangements will be made.

If you are over 18, you will have the choice to go to transitional housing if it is not possible to return to your family.

NeighborLink / Oviedo - Lynx

NeighborLink (formerly PickUpLine) is a call-first bus service.
Call at least two hours in advance to make an appointment for a bus to pick you up from anywhere in the Oviedo service area. The bus will take you anywhere in the Oviedo service area. All service requests must be called in at least two hours before your departure time. For more information call 407.244.0808.

Transportation Service for Seniors - Meals on Wheels

This agency provides transportation to seniors. They can get rides to neighborhood dining, shopping and doctor appointments. Advance notice is required. Those over the age of 60 can sign up for Meals on Wheels. Please call the office to schedule at 407.333.8877. Office hours are from 8:30 to 4:30, Monday through Friday.
