Episcopal Children's Services - Early Learning Programs and Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten

ECS has programs that are based on the latest research. They show the impact of early activities on brain growth. Bright, colorful settings encourage exploration. Engaging playthings stretch young imaginations and develop motor skills. Shared stories and rhymes build language skills. Developing language skills are supported through meaningful conversation. Teachers expand on children’s ideas, and everyone explores new ideas together.

Florida Sheriffs Youth Ranches - Youth Ranch

Florida Sheriffs Youth Ranches offer many opportunities for children in need. Services are for youth ages 8 through 18 years of age. Trained staff nurture youth and provide a warm sense of security and guidance. Counseling services are available for each child. There are programs for their parents as well. Other services include summer camp and a mobile camping program.

Haven Hospice - Grief Support and Counseling

Haven Hospice offers a wide range of grief counseling services for people of all ages. There are also chaplains available to give spiritual support.

Programs include:

  • Camp Safe Haven – for children 6-12

  • Love and Remembrance Services – memorial services in May and November

Haven Hospice - Grief Support For Children and Teens

The Healing Hearts Grief Support Program offers children and teens individual and family grief counseling. Camp Safe Haven and SASHA’s Friends are programs that also help with grief. Camp Safe Haven is for children who have lost a loved one. SASHA’s Friends is a support group for kids who are facing the loss of a loved one. Each year, Haven Hospice hosts Camp Safe Haven for children ages 6–12 and youth ages 13–17. Children join in fun and therapeutic activities to help them work through their grief. The Families Sharing in Grief and Hope group provides a time for families to come together to share their experience and join in a special activity.

Hubbard House - Children's Services

Children who live with violence are impacted by that violence--whether they were physically abused or not. HH helps them understand that violence is not their fault. They help children know what they can do should they be in danger and help them understand and express their feelings. Children learn nonviolent conflict resolution skills so the violence will not be repeated in the next generation. Please see the website for more information.
