Dixie County School District - VIrtual High School

Students within the Dixie County school district have the option of attending virtual classes online. Students in grades 6-12 may be full or part-time. They may also be home education students or private school students. Driver Education and Personal & Family Finance will be offered through the Virtual School this summer. These courses are open to all students in 9th thru 11th grade. If you would like to enroll for either course, please sign up in Guidance.

Florida Department of Education - McKay Scholarship for Students with Disabilities

The McKay Scholarships for Students with Disabilities gives students with special needs the chance to attend a private school. The program is for students in grades K-12. Please see the website for more information.

Florida Guardian Ad Litem Program

Staff, volunteers and local agencies team up to provide a strong voice in court on behalf of abused children. They partner together to make positive changes in the lives of these children. Florida Sheriffs Youth Ranches - Youth Ranch

Florida Sheriffs Youth Ranches offer many opportunities for children in need. Services are for youth ages 8 through 18 years of age. Trained staff nurture youth and provide a warm sense of security and guidance. Counseling services are available for each child. There are programs for their parents as well. Other services include summer camp and a mobile camping program.

Pleasant Place - Passport to Life Program

This agency provides safe shelter to pregnant and parenting teen mothers. The Passport to Life program is a series of skills workshops to help each mother become more independent. It tracks her progress as she cycles through the program. It empowers each resident to improve her life and contribute to the common good of all. Please see the website for more information.
