The Food Stamp Program helps people with low income to buy healthy food. The application can be done online. Please see the website for your local service center. The application is also used for Temporary Cash Assistance, Medicaid, and all other Dept of Children and Families services.
You can view the application in English, Haitian-Creole, or Spanish.

Always Best Care Senior Services provides care for seniors in need. Consultations for services are free. Many programs and services may also be free of charge if qualified.

The Council on Aging of martin County, Inc. provides the Meals on Wheels program. They provide hot, noontime meals for those who are unable to shop or cook. Although they primarily serve frail seniors, it is available to all Martin County residents who have a need for this service.
Meals are delivered Monday through Friday, between 10:30am and 12:30pm. Weekend and breakfast meals can be delivered upon request. Full week or partial week service is also available.
The cost of a hot, noontime meal is $6. Breakfast meals are $3.65 each. Some may qualify for free meals or meals at a reduced fee.

The Caring Kitchen
The Caring Kitchen is a hot meal program. They combine breakfast, lunch and dinner meals. The program also includes numerous other services. Job search assistance and referrals to human service and social service agencies are some of them. Visit website or call for more info.
First United Methodist Church of Stuart provides a free hot meal to the community of Stuart. Every Tuesday night, from 5pm to 6pm. Call for more information.
House of Hope provides a Clothes Closet program. It provides clothing and small household necessities free, or at a very low cost to people who would otherwise do without. Call for more information.
