Are You O.K.? - City of Niceville Police Department

This is a free service of the Niceville Police Department. It is for the elderly or for homebound patients. This computerized system will place a call to your house every day at a time chosen by you. All you have to do is answer the phone. You will be greeted by a recorded message. After you hear the message, simply hang up the phone. This will tell the computer that you were able to answer the phone and you are okay. Don’t worry, if the line is busy, off the hook, or if there is no answer, the computer will give you a few minutes and call again. If the computer is unable to complete a call to you within thirty (30) minutes of the requested time, it will generate an ALERT SHEET for the dispatcher to send an officer to your house to make personal contact with you.
