Access Florida - Food Stamps, Temporary Cash Assistance, and Medicaid

The Food Stamp Program helps people with low income to buy healthy food. The application can be done online. Please see the website for your local service center. The application is also used for Temporary Cash Assistance, Medicaid, and all other Dept of Children and Families services.

You can view the application in English, Haitian-Creole, or Spanish.

Children's Medical Services - Orlando Area

Provides Specialty Medical Care for children ages 0-21 years of age with chronic medical conditions that may hinder normal growth and development. Appointments are made by phone.

Hours of Operation: Monday thru Friday, 8am to 5pm, Saturday thru Sunday CLOSED

Income limits based on age of child. Call for income review. Social Security card, proof of income and proof of insurance/medicaid.

The state of Florida offers health insurance for children from birth through age 18, even if one or both parents are working. It includes four different parts.

Health Care Center for the Homeless - Primary Medical Care

Health Care Center for the Homeless provides Primary Medical Care. Homeless are able to receive care for chronic illnesses, and other medical health screenings. They also offer a Mammography Program. This will provide free screening mammograms for female patients who are over the age for forty and have had a hard time getting this service. Call for more information.

Shepherd's Hope

Shepherd’s Hope offers free health care services to individuals who are currently employed with no health insurance or government assistance. They must earn less than 150% of the poverty level. Call for more information.
