This is a State public school that educates sensory impaired children. They serve youth from grades Pre-K to 12. They offer a full range of athletic programs as well as after-school activities and clubs. Students are taught and encouraged to be as self sufficient as possible. There is no cost to families.

This agency is a Community Partner of DCF's ACCESS program. ACCESS is an internet-based way to apply for food stamps, Medicaid, and cash assistance. Their trained staff and volunteers can help you with the application process.

The staff at Metropolitan Ministries will listen to the concerns of those who walk through their doors. They will evaluate your needs and decide how to best connect you to the appropriate community resources. MMIP is prepared to give emergency food and clothing to persons in distress.

Those who qualify receive a free phone with free monthly minutes.

This agency provides temporary aid to individuals and families. They supply basic needs such as food, and rent once a year when funds are available. They can help with utilities if it is under Progress Energy. They will assist with the last $30, $50, $75 of the bill, depending on funding.
Clients can get limited prescription help. They may be referred to another agency.
