Center for Independent Living of North Central Florida - Employment Services

This agency helps people with disabilities with a broad range of services. The goal is to enable them to live as independently as possible. Sign language interpreting services are available. Some Medicaid recipients may be eligible to transfer from a nursing home to their own home.

Florida Department of Elder Affairs - Aging and Disability Resource Center

This agency helps Florida's seniors. It is their one-stop shop for all elder services. They can get referrals for services such as Food Stamps or Medicare.

Services Include:

Mid Florida Community Services, Inc. - Community Care for the Elderly

This state funded program provides a community-based service which gives an alternative to nursing home or institutional care. To qualify for the various services, the client must be 60 years of age or over. They must also be functionally impaired. Fees are based on a sliding-scale. It is dependent on individual income and current expenses. In many cases, no fee is assessed. Call for more information.

Mid Florida Community Services, Inc. - Older Americans Act Title III Programs

This is a federally funded program for persons 60 years of age or over. However, the most needy of the community will be given priority. There is no fee for these services. Call for more information.
