A.F.I.R.E. of Pasco County - Adult Day Training

This agency helps developmentally delayed clients past the age of 22. Their goal is to promote independence so they can function within the community. Clients learn basic academics and can get computer training. They learn skills by going out into the community in small groups. They may go to the mall, library, grocery store or nursing home for hands-on learning and volunteer opportunities. They meet five days a week to reinforce everyday living skills.

A.F.I.R.E. has a day training program for developmentally disabled adults. They are over the age of 22 and no longer eligible for the public school system. Clients meets five days a week to reinforce everyday living skills. The goal is for them to function more independently in their community. They can get one-on-one computer training. In addition to academics, participants learn social skills and enjoy fun activities with their peers.
