Low Cost Housing - Habitat for Humanity of Citrus County
This agency helps those in need to own their own homes. Families who qualify will get a 30-year no interest mortgage. They must be willing to donate their time helping to build their house. This program is for residents of Citrus County. Please call or visit the website for more information.

This agency helps those in need to own and build their own homes. Partner families pay a deposit and maintain a no-interest mortgage. Habitat consists of people from different faiths, diverse backgrounds, and many economic levels. They work toward a common goal--to honor the dignity of each person by helping each one have a safe and decent place to live. Please call for more information.
Food Pantry - First United Methodist Church of Homosassa
This church provides food assistance once a month to those in need. This includes one bag of non-perishable food along with bread and meat when available. Food is provided at the Fellowship Hall on Thursday from 10am to 2pm. Those receiving food must register by presenting a valid driver's license or other picture ID on their first visit. First United Methodist Church of Homosassa
This church has several ministries that serve the local community. They offer a food pantry and hunger/homeless outreach. They have a prison ministry, prayer shawl ministry and different support groups. They can make home visits to shut-ins and those in nursing homes and hospitals.
