The Susan G. Komen foundation gives money and support to people who qualify. Payment amounts are based on the current stage of cancer. Emergency Shelter for Families - Family Promise of the Big Bend
This group runs the HOPE shelter. It is an emergency shelter for families while they look for permanent housing. The shelter has three dorms. Operation Homefront-Critical Financial Assistance
This group offers the Critical Financial Assistance Program. The program helps military families with grants and not loans. Help is also given in the form of grocery cards.
