Shepherd's Hope Health Center

Shepherd’s Hope provides health care for the uninsured. Doctors and nurses treat uninsured, low-income patients in need of non-emergency medical care. There are several locations in Central Florida. The visit is free. Patients are seen on a first-come, first-served basis. Chronic diseases and conditions that need ongoing care will be referred to other clinics in the area.

Shepherd’s Hope partners with organizations to provide most diagnostic lab and x-ray services at no charge. Prescription assistance is also available.

ACCESS LYNX

ACCESS LYNX is a shared ride program. It is a door-to-door transportation service. It helps people who can't use the normal fixed bus route. You can reserve a trip up to a week in advance. Please call or go to the website to learn more.

Stronger Families Training Program - Central Florida Urban League

The Central Florida Urban League has a program designed to support parental involvement and strengthen the family unit. They help provide access to jobs and training opportunities, job placement, life skills, parenting skills, and financial literacy workshops. They provide tools that are essential for parents to meet their children’s financial needs and emotional well-being.

Utility Bill Assistance - Emergency Home Energy Assistance for the Elderly

The Emergency Home Energy Assistance for the Elderly Program is known as EHEAP for short. It is offered by the Department of Elder Affairs which helps low-income households with at least one person age 60 and older. The help is for emergency energy related costs during the year.
