Utility Bill Assistance - Emergency Home Energy Assistance for the Elderly

The Emergency Home Energy Assistance for the Elderly Program is known as EHEAP for short. It is offered by the Department of Elder Affairs which helps low-income households with at least one person age 60 and older. The help is for emergency energy related costs during the year. This group offers the Project Return program. It helps people experiencing mental illness, and helps them recover productive and fulfilling lives. Clients become members and are engaged in operating the center. Members can create and follow a plan at their own pace.

Independent Living Skills Training - Tampa Lighthouse for the Blind

This group offers an Independent Living Skills Training program. It is designed for individuals who have recently lost part or all of their vision. Direct Job Placement/Supported Employment for the Blind

This program provides employment services to people who are blind or visually impaired. The goal is to place them into jobs that are compatible with their interests and abilities. Services could also include direct training at the job site and help with issues that have an impact on the job. This includes issues such as transportation, housing and referrals to local resources.
