Englewood Helping Hand

The Englewood Helping Hands is a human services agency. The group only serves certain areas of Charlotte and Sarasota counties. They provide food and help with utilities. As well as other kinds of assistance. Referrals to other agencies in the counties are also available. Please call or visit the website for more information.

Children First

Childrens First is a non-profit organization. They provide full-day, year round early education services through Head Start and Early Head Start. They offer programs for children, birth to five years of age, and their families. Programs are offered to families who qualify for low or no cost. Program eligibility is based on risk factors and income level. Additionally, all families are assigned a Family Advocate. They ensure the entire family’s basic needs are being met at home and school. Family Advocates provide support and referrals. This may involve housing, food, clothing, employment, or health care needs.

Each child & family receives:

  • Family stabilization activities
  • Full-day early childhood education
  • Health & developmental screenings
  • Parenting education
  • State-of-the-art classrooms
  • Therapeutic services as needed
  • Two nutritious meals and snacks daily

All Faiths Food Bank

All Faiths Food Bank provides hunger relief. They partner with local agencies to provide food for those they serve.
