Florida WIC Program

This program is called WIC for short. It is for pregnant women and children up to five years old. WIC provides the following at no cost: healthy foods, nutrition education and counseling, breastfeeding support and referrals for health care. Each eligible family gets an EBT card to use at the grocery store. They also get a list of foods to purchase at the lowest prices.

This program is called LIHEAP for short. It helps low-income households. The help is with immediate and emergency home energy needs. Any payments are made directly to the utility company.
