Charlotte County Transit provides transportation to local residents at a discounted cost. Fees per one-way-ride range can be as low as $1. A Transportation Disadvantage Program may be available. The Englewood Community Care Clinic is for 18 – 64 years old without health insurance or Medicaid who live in Charlotte and Sarasota counties. Walk Ins Only. Income must fall at or below 200 percent of the federal poverty level.

The Charlotte HIV/AIDS People Support, Inc, or CHAPS for short, is a nonprofit group. The group is run entirely by volunteers. They provide food and hygiene items to those persons in need. Persons living with HIV/AIDS and their dependents. Goods are offered at no cost to those being helped.
