Indian River County Health Department - WIC

WIC is available through the Indian River County Health Department.

  • Breastfeeding support and information
  • Checks for healthy foods including: milk, cheese, eggs, juice, cereal, whole grains, beans, peanut butter and a voucher for fruits and vegetables
  • Help in finding health care and other community services
  • Nutrition education to help your family eat well and live healthy lives

Roseland United Methodist Church - Ecumenical Council Food Pantry

Roseland United Methodist Church helps the community through their outreach ministries. They feed the hungry through their Ecumenical Council Food Pantry. Families who come to the Food Pantry are given a box of food. If a family has small children, diapers and baby food are available. For the homeless, the pantry provides backpacks with food items and other personal hygiene items. Call for more information.

Senior Resource Association - Social Congregate Meals

Senior Resource Association provides the Social Congregate Meal program. They give mobile older adults a hot, nutritious meal. They will be able to interact with others during meals as well. Meals are served lunchtime Monday through Friday at several locations throughout Indian River County. They will provide transportation for seniors to one of their Social Congregate Meals sites if needed. Call for more information.

Senior Resources Association - Meals on Wheels

Senior Resource Association provides the Meals on Wheels program. Volunteers deliver meals to clients’ homes Monday through Friday. They do this between 10:30 am and 2:30 pm. They also give a daily safety check and friendly interaction. Full week or partial week is available. They also offer frozen meals for the weekends.

If you are homebound and have been discharged from a healthcare facility within the last 30; or, whose caregiver is going into a healthcare facility for a brief period of time, they offer Emergency Meals on Wheels.

The Source - Basic Needs

The Source helps men, women, and children who have nowhere else to go. They provide a range of services to the homeless within the community. Call for more information.

The Source helps men, women, and children who have nowhere else to go. They provide a range of services to the homeless within the community. All services are free of charge.

Civil Needs:

  • Assistance obtaining birth certificates, photo ID’s and other legal documents
  • Employment opportunities
  • Job referrals for temporary, part-time and full-time work
  • Personal advocacy for individual rights
  • Post Office Box and mail services
  • Telephone and message services

  • Cold night shelter at The Source when the temperature is forecasted to fall below 35 degrees

  • Referrals for Utility bill payment assistance
  • Temporary housing assistance
