A Safe Haven For Newborns - Pregnancy & Adoption Support

The aim of this agency is to prevent the abandonment of newborns. Women who have an unexpected pregnancy can find help here. Safe Haven is a safety net for mothers and their newborns. They help new mothers before they reach the crisis stage. Clients can get information and advice about adoption and parenting. Please see the website for more information.

Diocese of Palm Beach - Counseling

Therapy for adults, children, families, couples and groups is available.

The therapy deals with problems such as:

  • Anxiety
  • Child and adolescent problems
  • Depression
  • Grief and loss
  • Loneliness
  • Stressful relationships
  • And other life stressors

Counseling is provided in 6 locations:

  • Boca Raton
  • Palm Beach
  • Port St. Lucie
  • Riviera Beach
  • Stuart
  • Vero Beach

Generally, clients are served in the county where they live. Counseling services are NOT given to those who are actively abusing drugs or alcohol or who are physically abusive. Persons that the agency cannot serve will be given a referral for another resource.

Fees are offered on a sliding scale. Spanish-speaking counselors are available at some locations. Call for more information.

Florida Department of Education - McKay Scholarship for Students with Disabilities

Florida Sheriffs Youth Ranches - Community Based Services (Region 2)

Trained counselors provide social services to children and families. Services include group and individual counseling to help youth overcome serous issues. They will deal with the problems that caused them to be removed from their homes. They will also get help in adjusting to their new home environment. Their families will be involved as well as everyone works to restore the youth back to their families. Parents will also have the chance to take part in the Family Life Education program. They will learn parenting skills and be better equipped to relate to their children in a positive way. Please call for more information.
