"MHM offers a variety of resources and aid to qualified clients to help them through times of struggle, crisis, and unforeseen situations. " MHM was founded in 1990 by a mother helping another mother out of a shelter and into a home of her own. Since then more mothers have joined in and have created Mothers Helping Mothers. MHM provides legal assistance, supportive services, literacy programs, health and nutrition education, safety programs, and much more.
