The Central Florida Urban League has a program designed to support parental involvement and strengthen the family unit. They help provide access to jobs and training opportunities, job placement, life skills, parenting skills, and financial literacy workshops. They provide tools that are essential for parents to meet their children’s financial needs and emotional well-being.

The Stronger Families Training Program is offered free of charge to eligible parents in the Central Florida area. This program is available to non-custodial parents that are behind on their child support payments and are in need of parenting support, life skill development, employability skill development, and job placement assistance.

This agency was founded on August 5, 1977. The historic mission of the League has been to help and empower African-Americans. However, they now help anyone and everyone overcome obstacles that keep them from reaching their full potential.

Programs include homebuyer education and counseling. They have employment assistance, budget and credit counseling. They now have a GED college-bound program that is free. There are programs that benefit youth. There is a Workforce Job Training Program. They also have a crime prevention program.
