School Agers - Champions for Children

This group offers services for kindergarten and beyond. These services help parents raise a happy, healthy, and successful future adult. They address key areas that are critical for school aged children. Please call or visit the website for more information.

School Readiness Scholarships

Children from low to moderate-income working families or with other identified risk factors may receive scholarships to attend an early education program. Eligibility is based on the parents’ income and must not exceed 150% of the federal poverty level. Children ages birth to 13 years are eligible for scholarship. Exceptions may be made for older children with special needs. Participants in this program receive:

  • Character education
  • Developmentally appropriate curriculum
  • Vision, hearing and developmental screen

SEDNET - Region 3B

SEDNET means "Students with Emotional & Behavioral Disabilities Network" It is a group that works with other similar groups to help children and youths in school who are having problems. They also help with parenting at risk children. Please call 352.486.5240 or go to the website to learn more.

SEDNET - Region 6

The agency offers programs for students and their families. The students are those with or at-risk of emotional/behavioral disorders. The programs help them learn appropriate behaviors. They also help to reduce dependency and help them to be more involved with school and community.
