Ronald McDonald House provides a “home away from home” for families of hospitalized children. They can stay close to the hospital at little or no cost. Parents can focus on their child's health and keep in close touch with the child's medical team. The family can enjoy home-cooked meals and private bedrooms. There is a playroom for children. This group has the Safe Overnight Stay Shelter program. It is called S.O.S. for short. It is a very short-term shelter program. It is for families who are unexpectedly or suddenly experiencing homelessness. The program focuses more on those families who are dealing with homelessness for first-time. There are two locations. This is a residential program for troubled teen boys. Each boy is given the mental, physical, and spiritual strength to succeed in life. The boys learn responsibility while living and working on a boat. They also study for their high school diploma. Please call or visit the website to learn more.
