Senior Friendship Centers - Resources for Aging

The Centers for Healthy Aging provide quality care for individuals 50+ who are uninsured or in financial need. Most sites accept Medicare. Patient fees are on a sliding scale based on ability to pay. Due to increasing demand, waiting lists may apply. Over the past two years, some patients experienced waits of up to three months or more for an appointment. Senior Friendship Centers - Social Services & Case Management

Senior Friendship Centers helps older adults live independently. Through Social Services & Case Management they are able to help with a wide range of services. Case managers match service options available through programs funded at the State and Federal levels to help clients receive the care they need. Please call the Elder Helpline. It is a toll free number. This is where you will start to access services. A preliminary needs assessment will determine which programs you qualify for, and where you can access them. From this needs assessment, you will be referred to services, or, in some cases, placed on a waiting list for services.

Senior Resource Alliance - Florida Department of Elder Affairs

The Senior Resource Alliance is called SRA for short. It is run by the Department of Elder Affairs. SRA is a resource center. It helps find resources on both a state and federal level. These resources are for senior citizens. They are also for their caregivers and families. Please call or visit the website for more information.

Senior Resources Association - Meals on Wheels

Senior Resource Association provides the Meals on Wheels program. Volunteers deliver meals to clients’ homes Monday through Friday. They also give a daily safety check and friendly interaction. Full week or partial week is available. They also offer frozen meals for the weekends. If you are homebound and have been discharged from a healthcare facility within the last 30; or, whose caregiver is going into a healthcare facility for a brief period of time, they offer Emergency Meals on Wheels.
