Fairlawn Village is supportive housing. The housing is an apartment. Housing is offered to those who are at risk of being homeless. Housing is for adults who are:
Mentally ill
Disabled
Low-income working families
Domestic violence victims
Elderly
Veterans

This group has four pillars of service. One pillar is Family Homeless Prevention. The program works to prevent and reduce homelessness in the community. It helps families maintain housing. Please call or visit the website for more information.
Boys Town provides temporary homes for at-risk boys and girls. They receive care and treatment from married couples called Family Teachers. Many of these children have suffered from abuse and neglect and have been removed from their own homes. While here, the children learn life skills that will help them to succeed in school and in their community. The goal is to reunite them with their families.
Area churches join together to provide temporary shelter to homeless families. They stay for one to two weeks at a time and then move on to another place of worship. While doing this, they meet with social workers and other people who will help them along the path of self sufficiency. Please see the website for more information.
