A Woman's Addiction Recovery Effort (AWARE)

A Woman’s Addiction Recovery Effort (AWARE) is run by Chemical Addictions Recovery Effort (CARE), Inc. The purpose of the program is to allow women to cope with the social stigma of being a female addict. The environment of the program is therapeutic and educational. They are licensed for 30 beds. 15 of the beds are residential, and 15 of the beds are Halfway. The residential program is a minimum of eight weeks. The halfway program is an additional three months. Program counselors use evidence based integrated therapeutic approaches.

Anchorage Children's Home - Anchorage Family Counseling

Anchorage Family Counseling offers counseling to children and their families. The counseling is to help restore and strengthen the relationships at home. Services are provided in the home, at school, or in the agency’s office for up to twelve weeks. The agency also provides prevention and group intervention service to school aged, at-risk youth.
