Access Florida - Florida Department of Children and Families

Access Florida has the Food Stamp Program(EBT) that helps people with low income to buy healthy food. The application can be done online. Please see the website for your local service center. The application is also used for Temporary Cash Assistance, Medicaid, and all other Department of Children and Families services.

The DeSoto County Health Department provides medical and dental services to those in need. Clinic Services are provided on a sliding fee scale basis. Immunizations are free for children under age 18. Eating Disorder Groups- National Alliance for Eating Disorders Awareness

The Alliance provides free, weekly eating disorder groups. These groups are led by a therapist. The sessions take place both virtually and in person. Help is available for all eating disorders. Please call or visit the website for more information.
