Meridian Behavioral Healthcare - Residential & Inpatient Treatment (Dixie)

Residential treatment aims to provide intensive treatment in a supportive environment. Meridian offers several programs to address the needs of men, women, teens and people with substance abuse issues. Each patient receives an individual treatment plan to address his or her needs. Patient Support Programs - Leukemia & Lymphoma Society North Florida

This chapter offers a wide range of free educational and support programs for patients. There are online support groups and online chats. There is peer-to-peer counseling with someone who has also been a patient. There is a limited amount of financial aid. Please see the website for more information.

Service Animals - Canine Companions

People who are disabled due to injury or disease may qualify for an assistance dog. These highly trained dogs are able to assist with many tasks. There are 4 types of assistance dogs:

  • Facility - assists in an education or health care setting
  • Hearing – assists the hearing impaired
  • Service – assists with daily tasks
  • Skilled Companion – assists physically, mentally or developmentally disabled
