This group offers senior services. These programs are meant to help low-income seniors remain independent. To qualify for services, clients must be 60 years of age or older. Clients must also live in the group’s service area. The available services are provided by screened and trained volunteers. Please call or visit the website for more information.

The Salvation Army provides social services to those in need. Clients can find food and shelter. Families can stay together at the Red Shield Lodge. The Jacksonville Citadel gym is a designated Cold Night Shelter for homeless men. The soup kitchen serves a daily meal to the homeless and working poor. Please see the website for more information.

the St. Francis group resumed serving Saturday lunches to the poor — at the mission’s New Life Inn, which provides meals, shelter and other emergency services for the needy.
Homeless families who come to Family Promise stay at a local congregation for one week. While there, they get three meals a day, case management and other services. They can use laundry facilities, a computer and get phone access at the Family Center. They will also meet with a social worker who will develop a plan of action to get the family on the path to self sufficiency. Please see the website for more information.
