Senior Services - BEAM

This group offers senior services. These programs are meant to help low-income seniors remain independent. To qualify for services, clients must be 60 years of age or older. Social Services - Salvation Army of Northeast Florida

The Salvation Army provides social services to those in need. Clients can find food and shelter. Families can stay together at the Red Shield Lodge. The Jacksonville Citadel gym is a designated Cold Night Shelter for homeless men. The soup kitchen serves a daily meal to the homeless and working poor. Please see the website for more information.

Temporary Shelter - Family Promise of Jacksonville

Homeless families who come to Family Promise stay at a local congregation for one week. While there, they get three meals a day, case management and other services. They can use laundry facilities, a computer and get phone access at the Family Center. They will also meet with a social worker who will develop a plan of action to get the family on the path to self sufficiency. Please see the website for more information.
