Florida Sheriffs Youth Ranches provides residential care to children in need. It is for ages 8 through 18. Youth are cared for by "cottage parents" who helps them. This program is under the Florida Department of Education. SEDNET networks with the education, mental health and child welfare systems. They work with the families of children with mental, emotional and behavioral problems. The goal is for youth to have access to the services they need to succeed in life.
