This group offers the Critical Financial Assistance Program. The program helps military families with grants and not loans. Help is also given in the form of grocery cards. Florida Sheriffs Youth Ranches provides residential care to children in need. It is for ages 8 through 18. Youth are cared for by "cottage parents" who helps them. This agency offers a range of services to those with cancer. Someone is available to talk to 24 hours a day. You may also chat live with someone online.

The Emergency Home Energy Assistance for the Elderly Program is known as EHEAP for short. It is offered by the Department of Elder Affairs which helps low-income households with at least one person age 60 and older. The help is for emergency energy related costs during the year.
