Find a Ride - Safe Mobility For Life

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) has a program called Safe Mobility for Life. One part of this program is called Find a Ride Florida. It helps older people find local transportation to get to doctor appointments and other places, so they can stay independent. Find a Ride Florida doesn’t give rides itself; it helps people find local services. Please call or visit the website to learn more.

Meals on Wheels - Senior Resources Association

Senior Resource Association provides the Meals on Wheels program. Volunteers deliver meals to clients’ homes Monday through Friday. They do this between 10:30 am and 2:30 pm. They also give a daily safety check and friendly interaction. Hot, nutritious meals are delivered to seniors’ doors – five days a week. They also offer frozen meals for the weekends. If you are homebound and have been discharged from a healthcare facility within the last 30; or, whose caregiver is going into a healthcare facility for a brief period of time, they offer Emergency Meals on Wheels.

Medicare - Social Security Administration

Medicare is a health insurance program. It is for people 65 or older. Certain people under the age of 65 may be eligible. They must meet certain eligibility requirements.
