Programs Available:
This program is for residents of Village Central or Pine Village. It is for families who want to become more self-sufficient.
Self-sufficiency means:
• The head of household has obtained employment and
• All family members are free of cash assistance for 12 months
or
• 30% of the monthly adjusted income meets or exceeds the fair market rental rate for their current unit.
Our resident services department will help you address some of the major hurdles, such as:
• Finding childcare
• Locating transportation
• Help finding a (better) job
• Going back to school to get more education and training
• Improving your credit
• Overcoming a criminal background
This agency can help families who may be facing eviction. They also help people who are seeking stable housing and have been homeless.

Gulfcoast Legal Services is a non-profit corporation. They provide free legal aid. You must be income eligible. They can help with many different legal issues.
Services:
Migrant camps in Manatee County receive annual permits. They get quarterly inspections. Complaints are looked into for any health violations. This includes any camps that may not be legal.
This group offers the Critical Financial Assistance Program. The program helps military families with grants and not loans. Help is also given in the form of grocery cards. The payments are made directly to service providers. There are eligibility criteria that must be met. Please call or visit the website for more information.

Lutheran Services of Florida offers help for refugees in Florida. They help with jobs, immigration, filling out forms, and other services. Please call for more information.
You can find low rent apartments and public housing for low income residents in Seminole County and the Central Florida area using HUD's Florida website. Also look for help with your utility bills.
