St. Vincent de Paul - St. James

The Society helps those in need who live within the boundaries of St. James Church. They help with food. Financial aid is given once a year, to help with utility bills or rent, providing the client has a shut-off notice or eviction notice.

The Society helps those in need who live within the parish boundaries of St. Thomas Aquinas Church. They can help with food once a month. Financial assistance is given once a year to each client. They can help with utility bills or rent weekly, providing they have a shut-off notice or eviction notice.

St. Vincent de Paul Cares Program(SVdP)- Society of St. Vincent de Paul - Pasco

St. Vincent de Paul Cares Program(SVdP) is a place where those in need are welcome to come for help. The staff and volunteers are committed to person-to-person service.

All services are based on partnership with other providers in the community. The goal is to help the individual toward self-sufficiency.

The Center helps individuals with an initial job search, referrals to community job programs, and GED studies. They can help with social security or getting IDs, or simply getting respite from the elements.

The center also offers a mail drop for clients, hot drinks and snacks.

Clients can consult with an on-site nurse for medical advice and appropriate treatment. You will need an appointment.

Men can get a referral to transitional housing.

Temporary Cash Assistance-DCF- Pasco County Service Center

The Temporary Cash Assistance (TCA) program provides limited financial aid to low income families. The amount depends on the family size and income. Families can also get Medicaid benefits. They are referred for requested social services. Individuals must be U.S. Citizens or qualified non-citizens. They must live in the State of Florida.

There are also cash benefits for children who have been placed by the courts into a relative’s home.

WIC provides healthy foods, nutrition education and counseling. New mothers can get breast-feeding information and health care referrals.

Youth Crisis Shelters - Youth & Family Alternatives

This agency runs several youth crisis shelters. They provide residential group care. The help is for youth between the ages of 10 and 17. These youth are runaways, homeless, or have been kicked or locked out by their parents or guardians. They may need short-term respite or crisis placement.
