SSA has two programs for disability benefits. They are different but have the same medical requirements. The programs pay benefits to individuals. As well as certain family members. Please call or visit the website for more information.

The Mission runs a soup kitchen. It provides breakfast and lunch. Please call or visit the website for more information.

Lunch: Monday - Friday 11:45 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
VISTE provides the Supplemental Grocery program. This program provides groceries to elderly in need. Please call or visit website for more information.
Lighthouse Ministries provides The Gospel Rescue Mission. They provide shelter to homeless and at-risk men as overnight guests. The shelter opens 3:30 PM daily. The first 3 nights per month are free, and then $7 per night. Dinner and breakfast are provided. Please call or visit website for more information.
Frostproof Care Center provides a Thrift Store. The thrift store offers clothing, furniture, books, and more at low, affordable prices. Please call or visit website for more information.
Lake Wales Care Center provides Transitional Housing. This program helps individuals and families in need. All facilities have a playground area for children. There is a free laundry facility on site. They also have free WiFi. Please call or visit the website for more information.

The Salvation Army provides the Women's and Children's Shelter. It is a 62 bed facility for women and their children experience homelessness. This facility provides a warm and safe environment for women and children in need of emergency shelter. Check in begins at 4:30 PM daily and continues until the facility is full. This agency runs several youth crisis shelters. They provide residential group care. The help is for youth between the ages of 10 and 17. These youth are runaways, homeless, or have been kicked or locked out by their parents or guardians. They may need short-term respite or crisis placement.
