As a nonprofit, ecumenical Christian ministry that builds with people in need regardless of race or religion, we welcome volunteers and supporters from all backgrounds.

Turning Point is an intervention and detox shelter. It provides services for the homeless with substance abuse issues. This shelter accepts inebriated adults directly from the street. It provides shelter and cold night shelter services to those who have not yet begun their journey towards recovery. Staff members offer supportive services, which may include referrals to other area agencies. Many clients transition into treatment at the Mustard Seed Inn. The Mustard Seed Inn offers transitional housing for men and women. They offer recovery support services for substance abuse and mental illness. They provide case management, counseling, job support services and more. Residents may remain at the facility for up to two years as they work toward regaining their lives. The Family Residence keeps homeless families together while they regain stability in their lives. Families live in a home-like environment and perform daily and weekly house chores. They meet with staff members to determine what their specific needs are and to create a plan of action. Clients must call 211 first in order to be admitted. APD provides services for people who have specific disabilities. These services are meant to help with things like supported living, jobs, and case management. APD can also help you get referrals for other services you need. Please call or visit the website to learn more.
Homeless families who come to Family Promise stay at a local congregation for one week. While there, they get three meals a day, case management and other services. They can use laundry facilities, a computer and get phone access at the Family Center. They will also meet with a social worker who will develop a plan of action to get the family on the path to self sufficiency. Please see the website for more information.
This program can serve up to 140 inmates at a time. It gives participants the chance to get their lives back on track. They are employed during the day and work on substance abuse treatment, education and vocational courses at night. WR inmates pay a fee for their room and board. They also make court-ordered payments and send money home for family support. They are required to set money aside for savings upon release.
