WestCare Foundation - Turning Point

Turning Point is an intervention and detox shelter. It provides services for the homeless with substance abuse issues. This shelter accepts inebriated adults directly from the street. It provides shelter and cold night shelter services to those who have not yet begun their journey towards recovery. Staff members offer supportive services, which may include referrals to other area agencies. Many clients transition into treatment at the Mustard Seed Inn. Temporary Shelter - Family Promise of Jacksonville

Homeless families who come to Family Promise stay at a local congregation for one week. While there, they get three meals a day, case management and other services. They can use laundry facilities, a computer and get phone access at the Family Center. They will also meet with a social worker who will develop a plan of action to get the family on the path to self sufficiency. Please see the website for more information.

Jacksonville Bridge Community Release Center - Bridges International

This program can serve up to 140 inmates at a time. It gives participants the chance to get their lives back on track. They are employed during the day and work on substance abuse treatment, education and vocational courses at night. WR inmates pay a fee for their room and board. They also make court-ordered payments and send money home for family support. They are required to set money aside for savings upon release. LifeBuilders Addiction Recovery Program - City Rescue Mission

This is an addiction recovery program at the McDuff Avenue campus. Clients live on campus for about 18 months. They must make a commitment to the program which will enable them to make a new life for themselves and for their families. Clients take part in a full range of education and recovery services. Each person is assessed and receives a program plan based on his or her own specific needs. Please call for more information.

Home for Boys and Girls - Seamark Ranch

This group operates a faith-based home and family system. The Seamark Ranch is a long-term care facility. It is for children ages 10 - 16 that are from families in crisis. Residents learn the tools they need for a brighter future. Children are accepted based on need, regardless of income. Please call or visit the website to learn more.
