New Beginnings Youth Shelter in Hernando County

This is a safe shelter for children ages 10-17 that need short term respite care. They serve daily meals and have clothing and personal hygiene items. They have individual and family counseling, as well as information and referrals. They do not take children who are violent or those on juvenile probation. Youth Crisis Shelters - Youth & Family Alternatives

This agency runs several youth crisis shelters. They provide residential group care. The help is for youth between the ages of 10 and 17. These youth are runaways, homeless, or have been kicked or locked out by their parents or guardians. They may need short-term respite or crisis placement. They may also need emergency shelter due to abuse or neglect. There is no cost to families.

Domestic Violence Shelter - Hope Villages of America - The Haven

The Haven offers services to victims of domestic violence 24 hours a day. By making a phone call, clients can get safe shelter and counseling at Safe House. Counselors can also help you create a safety or escape plan. There are also outreach services for those who do not want to come to the shelter. Please call for more information.

Grace House Shelter - Hope Villages of America

RCS Grace House provides dignified apartment-style emergency shelter. It is for homeless families with children. They may stay for up to two months. Food, clothing and household goods are available to residents. Residents must be willing to get employment and take part in weekly life skills classes. Upon completion of the program, families are eligible to shop at the RCS Thrift Store for furniture and household goods at no charge. Please call for more information.
