Pasco County's Down Payment Assistance Program

This program helps people buy their own homes. There are funds available to help you with your down payment. You must make less than 120% of the median income in the Tampa Bay area to qualify.
You do not have to be a first time home buyer. You do not have to be a current Pasco County resident. You must attend a County Homebuyer class.

Any kind of home is eligible, except for mobile or manufactured homes.

You will need to put some of your own money into the purchase of the house. This can be in the form of down payment, closing costs or other pre-paid items.

This is a 0% interest loan.

PCCDD - Owner Occupied Rehab

This program is to help homeowners pay for repairs to their houses. Any type of home is eligible, except for mobile homes. Properties may be anywhere within the County. The maximum after-rehab value of the property cannot exceed $240,000.

Anyone who makes less than 120% of the median income for the Tampa Bay area may apply. You must show that you have at least 10% of the required cost of repairs. The County loan cannot exceed $10,000. This is a 0% interest loan which you will have five years to pay off.

Service Source - Housing Program

This program helps with housing needs. They offer a home ownership program for low and moderate income individuals with disabilities. They help those individuals with the purchase and post purchase support of a home. They provide housing assistance (both rental and ownership) for persons with disabilities. They can help with home renovations and making them more accessible for wheelchairs.

Domestic Abuse Shelter - Harbor House of Central Florida

If you need to leave an abusive situation, Harbor House can help you prepare ahead of time so that you can protect yourself, your children, or pets. They have a domestic violence shelter. The shelter might not be the right answer for you. If so, they can help you find other options.

This group has a supportive housing program. The program has different options. It includes assistance with affordable housing and supportive services. The supportive services are for those experiencing homelessness who have disabilities. Please call or visit the website for more information.

Emergency Domestic Violence Shelter - The Spring of Tampa Bay

The Spring helps victims of domestic violence rebuild their lives. The Spring’s services include safe shelter, case management and counseling. They have a 24-hour hotline. Clients can get referrals, legal help, emergency financial assistance, and safety planning.
