FreeD.O.M. Clinic USA is a mobile clinic that provides free dental care, optical care, and medical care for uninsured and under-insured Marion County residents.
The Outreach and Referral Specialists evaluate the needs of each client through an assessment tool known as the Vulnerability Index-Service Prioritization Decision Assistance Tool (VI-SPDAT). The VI-SPDAT is a survey triage tool, administered both to individuals and families to determine risk and prioritization when providing assistance to homeless and at-risk of homelessness persons. It gives the Outreach Specialists an overview of the needs of the client and allows them to make an assessment as to what resources are required to best meet their needs.
The Joint Office of Homelessness Prevention is comprised of City of Ocala and Marion County employees, and serves as the lead agency for federal funding. The Marion County staff primarily oversees funding and applications, while the City of Ocala staff is the lead agency for handling outreach efforts, Coordinated Entry and the Homeless Management Information System (HMIS).

Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA)
United Way of Marion County offers FREE income tax preparation at various locations. Residents are encouraged to get 100% of credits due to them.
Locations include Ocala, Belleview, Marion Oaks and Dunnellon.

Active Marion Project (AMP) is a project of the Marion County Hospital District focusing on workplace wellness and community health education. AMP acts as a challenge to Marion County residents to get moving towards a healthier lifestyle through fun step challenges, and workplace wellness initiatives, AMP aims to motivate the community to become healthier, together.
The Fitness and Nutrition in Schools (FANS) program takes a fun, hands-on approach to prevent chronic diseases for the children in our school system. Through increased physical fitness opportunities, improved nutrition, and healthy lifestyle education, this program helps local children learn how to make healthy choices throughout their lives.
By increasing PE engagement, campaigning for healthier snacking, and even introducing school gardens, this program is helping kids learn the importance of taking care of their bodies and reducing county obesity rates.
The Marion County Hospital District has partnered with Marion County Public Schools to offer free services at Howard Academy located at 306 NW 7 Ave. Building 3, Ocala, FL 34475. The Community Home Project assists families with employment, educational tutoring and continuing education, healthcare navigation and dental clinics, fitness and nutrition classes (diabetes education, grocery orders) and much more.
