Citrus Hearing Impaired Program Services

C.H.I.P.S. (Citrus Hearing Impaired Program Services) offers the following services:

  • Advocacy – Providing awareness of the rights for Deaf and Hard of Hearing citizens to assist them in making reasonable accommodations
  • FTRI Phone Program – If you have trouble hearing over the phone, Florida Telecommunications Relay, Inc. provides specialized telephone equipment at NO COST to Floridians with hearing loss or speech disabilities
  • Information & Referral – They have available a variety of information that clients may not have access to otherwise; they also try to keep a good network with other agencies they can refer to their clients
  • Interpreting - Interpreting services are available to their Deaf clients and the community

Adult Services - SMA Behavioral Health

SMA Behavioral Health provides Adult Services for the mentally ill. A variety of services designed to develop independent living skills are provided.

Those include:

  • Case Management
  • Drop-In Center in Marion and Citrus Countries
  • Individual and Group Therapy
  • Medication Management
  • Supported Employment
  • Supported Housing and Supervised Apartments
